What is 'Family, Friends and Neighbors'?
Family, Friends and Neighbors is a new-tech twist on an old-fashioned strategy - volunteers contacting folks they know. Here's how it works:
Step 1 ==>Select the people you'd like to contact by finding them on our Voter List. This confirms that they're registered to vote, and provides us with their mailing address without having to ask you for it. The process is quick and easy, and you can search for names or streets.
Step 2 ==>Create your own personal postcard by updating the 'to:' and 'from:' with something friendlier if you like, then adding your message. There's a list of suggestions, or you can make your own message. You can repeat your message on each postcard or make a different, more personal message for each one. You can also choose to use the supplied picture of Chris or replace it with your own photo! We'll print and mail the postcard for you and pay for the postage. This is not an email but an actual, tangible, made-from-real-trees postcard.
Step 3 ==>Use the 'followup' function to call the voter and note info useful for election day.
Who do I contact if I need help?
Who should I choose?
Look for people you know who might listen to your message about the importance of their vote.
What should I write?
Pick a short phrase that expresses your enthusiasm for Chris.
Please be polite and positive.
When and how do I follow up?
Once your postcards have been sent, we ask that you follow up with a phone call. There are a few important questions we'd like you to ask.
